Currently, I'm reading (though not very faithfully) Searching for God Knows What by Don Miller. My Miller Time has been sparce this last month. I need to pick up the pace! This year, I've read Through Painted Deserts (it was painful at times, but in the end, I enjoyed it) and To Own a Dragon. Here are some other books I plan to read this year:
  • Hiding from Love by Dr. John Townsend
  • The Crescent Through the Eyes of the Cross: Insights from an Arab Christian by Nabeel T., Dr. Jabbour
  • Does My Head Look Big in This?
  • Sold by Patricia McCormick
  • The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible
  • Love is a Choice
  • Velvet Elvis
  • Get Married: What Women Can Do to Help It Happen
  • Safely Home by Randy Alcorn
In sports, I will be going to a Tigers game in Detroit the first week of April. I plan to go to 4 Tigers games in Baltimore in July, and there's a possibility of going to San Diego in June for a game. I'm looking forward to an excellent baseball season, which is going to be dependent on our pitching rotation and bull pen. That still makes me nervous.

Yes, I noticed you were blogging here again - in case you were wondering :)

I'm reading "Searching for God Knows What" currently myself. I don't like it as much as "Blue Like Jazz," but I still do like it quite a bit. The "Deserts" one is next on my list.

As I mentioned, Deserts is rough, but worth reading all the way through. I want to say my favorite chapter in SFGKW (so far)is chapter 10, but I can't remember for sure... it's the one about the Gospel not being a formula.

That's the chapter I just read - good stuff.

I'm still kind of approaching him warily - I don't agree with him on everything, so it makes me nervous about all of it. Still, it's thought-provoking, so that's a good thing.

I'd be interested to know where you don't agree with him.

Political stuff, for one. And I sometimes feel he rejects *everything* about "established" Christianity.
