Before I Forget

I don't know what has happened to me this week, but I seemed to have lost my memory. It drives me nuts when I do absent minded things because I feel stupid, but more so because I am afraid I will forget something important that causes irreparable damage!

On Wednesday, I completely forgot to take my students to chapel. About ten minutes after I was supposed to be there, someone called me. "Are you coming?" she asked. It still took me 30 seconds to figure out I was supposed to be in chapel.

That night, I went to close the front door of the house and it wouldn't close. I couldn't figure out why. I opened the door to see if something was blocking the door. Sure enough---there were my keys---IN THE DOOR HANDLE. I never leave my keys in the door. I still don't remember doing that. I have no idea how that happened.

Thursday morning, I was driving to school when I realized I forgot to put any makeup on.

Today, I woke up at 4:30, and thought, "I don't think I set my alarm." Yup... I'd forgotten to set my alarm.

I wonder what I'll forget next.
